STOP THE BLEED®: Authorized Training Site through the American College of Surgeons
Uncontrolled bleeding is the number one cause of preventable death after an injury. In the same way that CPR prepares bystanders to help someone in cardiac arrest, STOP THE BLEED® equips ordinary people with the skills to save a life by controlling severe bleeding before professional help arrives.
The ACS Mission
The program was created by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) in response to a call from the White House following the Sandy Hook tragedy. The mission was clear: leverage military lessons learned on the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan—where tourniquet use saved countless lives—and translate that knowledge into a simple, accessible program for the American public. Today, the ACS STOP THE BLEED® campaign has trained over 5 million people worldwide .
What the Course Covers
In about 90 minutes, participants learn three quick actions to control life-threatening bleeding.
Our Authorization
We are proud to operate as an authorized training site. We hold a valid educational license with the American College of Surgeons, and our instructors are officially registered STOP THE BLEED® instructors through the ACS . This ensures that every course we teach meets the rigorous standards set by the nation’s leading surgical organization.
